Eva Mitchell is no stranger to the twists and turns of life. She is currently working through life’s latest twist–divorce. As she navigates this new stage, a phone call sends her life upside down again, and two decades into the past.
Twenty years ago, Eva’s boyfriend was in a band on the rise. The band’s manager offered Eva a job, and now she is paid to spend her days and nights on tour with the band. In the midst of record sales, music venues, and a growing fan base, a single night changes everything for the band, especially for Eva.
The moment Eva answers the phone, the ghosts and demons from that fateful night come rushing back in. Now confronted with her haunted past, on top of her new role as a divorced mom, Eva has to decide if she will face everything head-on or crumble.

I’m not going to lie, I went into this one hesitantly. From the book’s description, I knew that For Eva could be a binge-read, incredibly cheesy, or anything in between. Lucky for me, it was a binge-read. I think I knocked it out in about two days.
I instantly fell in love with Eva. I got mad when she did something dumb. I was sad when she was sad. I celebrated when she was happy. I wanted to reach through the book and slap her husband for being a jackass. And that connection, that love for a character, is why I binge read this book. It is rare for a writer to create a character you can attach yourself to, but Jen Davis did that with Eva, and I am so glad that I took the chance to read this story.
